Who we are

Our website address is: https://eslengine.com.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to assist with spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment has been approved, your profile picture is visible to the public alongside your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. This convenience feature allows you not to fill in your details again when leaving another comment. These cookies last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Upon logging in, we set up several cookies to save your login information and screen display preferences. Login cookies last two days, and screen option cookies last for one year. Selecting “Remember Me” will retain your login for two weeks. Logging out of your account will remove login cookies.

Editing or publishing an article saves an additional cookie in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data; it simply indicates the post ID of the article you edited. It expires after one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on our site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These external websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with embedded content, including tracking your interaction if you have an account and are logged into that website.

Payment Processing

We use PayPal and Stripe for payment processing. When you make a purchase on our website, your payment information is securely transmitted and processed by PayPal or Stripe. We do not store your credit card or payment details on our servers. PayPal and Stripe each have their own privacy policies detailing how your personal data is handled. You can view PayPal’s privacy policy here: https://www.paypal.com/privacy, and Stripe’s privacy policy here: https://stripe.com/privacy.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of placing them in a moderation queue.

For registered users (if any), we store personal information provided in user profiles. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information anytime (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you may request to receive an exported file of your personal data we hold, including any data you’ve provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you by emailing [email protected]. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Data Deletion Requests

If you request deletion of your account and personal data, we will remove your identifiable information from your account and order records where legally permissible. Access to any previously purchased downloads will also be revoked, and associated download logs will be cleared. Please note that anonymized transaction data may be retained for accounting and legal compliance.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
